What a Turnaround! – From Penny Saver and PPL’s to Organic and PPC’s

By Vince Norton, Managing Partner

imageThree short years ago we began working with a new client. Like many schools, they had become overly reliant on lead vendors. The volume of leads clogged their admissions flow and they resorted to an out-sourced call center. At the same time, their secondary source for inquires was a weekly non-subscription advertising-driven newspaper. Simply put — their marketing mix wasn't much of a mix.

Fast forward three years. No lead vendors are in the mix — and the weekly paper that used to receive $40,000 a month in advertising spend has gone belly-up.

And our client? THRIVING!

“This was a very powerful workshop. It effectively makes you look at a new way of engaging students. It gives you tools to help put the student’s needs and goals first. This can help you gain a more committed student who has a greater likelihood of persevering through, and completing, a challenging program.”

–Michael, VP of Admissions, Durham NC

“I was genuinely impressed by the quality and authenticity of EnrollMatch. My goals were met and I am leaving encouraged and empowered. If it were up to me, this class would be taught to every admissions rep!”

–Ashley, Admissions Team, Frederick MD

Thoughts from Our Partners Down Under

Enjoy the second part of David’s three-part series on Chemistry, Character and Competence! And a word about the spelling — it’s not incorrect. Our friends David and Jill of The Right Mind live on the opposite end of the globe and some letters get scrambled when you’re upside down (Australia).

CHEMISTRY, CHARACTER AND COMPETENCE –
Insights into what creates the magic of selling Part 2:

By David Hanlon, The Right Mind International Pty, Ltd.

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are; your reputation is merely what others think you are.” John Wooden

More and more society is demanding that organisations do the right thing. They are expecting ethical and transparent behaviours – behaviours that lead to trust. They put in place the rules and practices that prevent such events occurring they still do. Too often the problem is due to selection and reward on the basis of performance character strengths and get miffed when they discover flaws in the moral character strengths.
